Portfolio company of Aligo VC, Smarter Diagnostics, signed a contract with the European Space Agency in July 2024 for the “Mollis Textus / Astro Performance” project, implemented as part of the Polish Axiom-4 space mission.
Under the agreement, the company received a grant of 100,000 euros to conduct advanced diagnostic research on astronaut health. The project involves developing and using artificial intelligence algorithms to monitor the musculoskeletal system’s performance in microgravity conditions.
The research conducted by Smarter Diagnostics will be part of the mission featuring Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski, forming an element of a broader program to develop Polish competencies in the space sector. The project is coordinated in collaboration with the Polish Space Agency and public partners.
The initiative’s goal is not only to support astronaut health during space missions but also to develop diagnostic technologies that may find applications in sports medicine, rehabilitation, and health prevention on Earth in the future.
